Definitions

1. Daily active users, a metric counting users who meet a product's activity threshold on a given day. DAU is useful only when the definition of 'active' actually reflects meaningful usage.

   In plain English: The number of users actively using the product on a given day.

   Example: "DAU looked flat, but deeper usage per active user was climbing."
