Definitions

1. The set of customers or deployed instances currently using a company's product. A large install base can support renewals, upsells, and ecosystem leverage even if new sales slow down.

   In plain English: The existing group of customers already using the product.

   Example: "The install base became more valuable once the company launched add-on modules."
