Tween

Definitions
Short for 'in-between' — the process of generating intermediate frames between two keyframes to create smooth animation. In game dev and UI, tweening interpolates position, opacity, color, or other properties over time.
In plain English: Automatically creating the smooth steps between a start and end point in an animation, so things glide instead of jumping.
Example: "Tween the modal's opacity from 0 to 1 over 300ms for a smooth fade-in."
