Definitions

1. Describing choices made more for how they look on a resume than for what the system genuinely needs. In engineering slang, resume-driven development is one of the standard accusations against trend-chasing architecture.

   In plain English: Driven more by career signaling than by the real needs of the system.

   Example: "The proposed service mesh felt suspiciously resume driven when the team still lacked basic observability and had no demonstrated need for that level of complexity."
