Proxy List

Definitions

1. A maintained set of IPs, hosts, or services known or suspected to function as proxies, VPN exits, anonymizers, or relay points. Security teams use proxy lists in filtering and fraud detection, but the lists require constant upkeep because proxy infrastructure changes rapidly.

   In plain English: A list of addresses or services believed to be acting as proxies or relays.

   Example: "The anti-abuse pipeline checked every login against a proxy list before deciding whether to allow password-only authentication."
