Definitions

1. A numeric or categorical score estimating the trustworthiness or risk associated with an IP, domain, sender, file, device, or account based on observed behavior and historical data. Reputation scores help prioritize responses, but they are probabilistic signals rather than proof by themselves.

   In plain English: A score that estimates how risky or trustworthy something appears based on past behavior.

   Example: "The mail gateway quarantined the message because the sender domain had a sharply degraded reputation score after recent phishing abuse."
