1. A joking or critical label for an engineer who solves problems mainly by copying snippets, patterns, or whole blocks of code with little understanding or adaptation. It is often used when duplicate logic, brittle integrations, or low-context reuse causes maintenance problems.

   In plain English: A programmer who relies too much on copying code instead of understanding it.

   Example: "We inherited a copy pasta engineer special: five services with the same bug copied into each one."
