A dramatic or reckless path where code goes live with minimal staging, review, or gradual rollout. In engineering slang, straight to production is usually said with either bravado or alarm.
In plain English: Sent live immediately, with little or no safety buffer first.
Example: "The hotfix went straight to production because the incident clock was ticking, but everyone agreed that should remain an exception, not a habit."
