Definitions

1. Describing technology as highly advanced and very recent, often with an implied tradeoff in stability or maturity. In engineering slang, cutting edge can be genuine praise or a warning that the team may be volunteering as unpaid testers.

   In plain English: Very new and advanced, often with extra risk or instability.

   Example: "The stack was definitely cutting edge, which sounded exciting right up until minor updates started breaking production assumptions every two weeks."
