Going Nuclear

Definitions

1. Taking an extreme action rather than continuing with incremental steps. In engineering slang, going nuclear usually means a full reset, hard shutdown, or sweeping deletion that people were hoping to avoid.

   In plain English: Taking a drastic extreme technical action.

   Example: "After the third failed recovery attempt, the team considered going nuclear and rebuilding the environment from clean images instead of patching one more unknown state."
