1. A leadership mindset that emphasizes taking strong responsibility for outcomes, communication, and team performance rather than deflecting blame. In culture, it can be powerful when balanced with systems thinking, but unhealthy when it turns into performative self-blame for structural problems.

   In plain English: Taking strong responsibility for outcomes instead of pushing blame elsewhere.

   Example: "The manager practiced extreme ownership by clarifying how leadership decisions had contributed to the outage instead of only pointing at the engineer who happened to make the last change."
