Drive-By Code Review

Definitions

1. A shallow or hurried code review that drops a comment or approval without serious understanding. In engineering slang, drive-by reviews create the appearance of safety without much of the substance.

   In plain English: A quick superficial code review without real understanding.

   Example: "The bug slipped through because the change got a drive-by code review from someone who glanced at formatting and never traced the migration behavior."
