1. A burst of chaotic code activity, strong disagreement, or badly coordinated change landing all at once. In engineering slang, code riot describes situations where order has clearly lost the fight for the day.

   In plain English: A chaotic outbreak of conflicting or poorly coordinated code changes.

   Example: "The release branch turned into a code riot after three teams started force-merging hotfixes without agreeing on sequence or ownership."
