Definitions

1. A joking or annoyed term for people who enforce coding style, standards, or process rules aggressively. In engineering slang, the code police are helpful when they prevent real problems and annoying when they focus on trivia at the wrong moment.

   In plain English: People who strictly enforce coding rules and standards.

   Example: "The code police showed up instantly for naming and formatting issues, but stayed strangely quiet when the design introduced real rollback risk."
