Definitions

1. The visual presentation of data through charts, graphs, maps, and other forms intended to make patterns easier to understand. In culture, good data visualization is valued because bad charts can mislead just as easily as they can inform.

   In plain English: Displaying data visually so people can understand it more easily.

   Example: "The ops review improved after a cleaner data visualization showed latency spikes by region instead of cramming every metric into one unreadable panel."
