Definitions

1. The actual present condition of a system, object, workflow, or environment at a given moment. Engineers often compare current state with desired state to decide whether reconciliation, updates, or repairs are needed.

   In plain English: What the system looks like right now.

   Example: "The controller fetched the current state of the deployment before deciding whether any pods needed to be replaced."
