Convergence

Definitions

The process of multiple components, replicas, or repeated operations settling toward the same correct or expected state over time. Engineers talk about convergence when eventual consistency, reconciliation, retries, or controllers gradually bring a system into alignment.
In plain English: The system gradually settling into the intended final state.
Example: "The cluster reached convergence a few minutes after the rollout, once every node had applied the new config and reported healthy."
