CI Dance

Definitions

1. The awkward repeated process of rerunning jobs, tweaking commits, and waiting for flaky checks to go green. In engineering slang, the CI dance is what happens when automation exists but is not reliable enough to be trusted calmly.

   In plain English: The repetitive ritual of dealing with flaky or cumbersome CI checks.

   Example: "Most of the release delay was not coding, it was the CI dance of retriggering the same integration suite until the network-dependent tests happened to pass together."
