Walking Dead

Definitions

1. A system, project, or process that still technically exists but only barely functions and should probably be retired. In engineering slang, the walking dead consume attention without deserving strategic hope.

   In plain English: Something still around and functioning a little, but basically past its useful life.

   Example: "That internal analytics tool was one of the walking dead, still online enough to generate tickets but not healthy enough to invest in seriously."
