1. Informal usage of snapshot for a saved moment-in-time copy of data, output, or system state. In engineering slang, snapshots are useful until teams mistake them for living truth.

   In plain English: Casual shorthand for a saved copy of something at one moment in time.

   Example: "They were arguing from snapshot slang in the incident review, but the system had already changed twice since that state was captured."
