1. A contract defining the services to be provided, responsibilities of each party, and the commercial and legal terms of the relationship. Startups use service agreements for consulting, support, and many implementation-heavy deals.

   In plain English: A contract describing the services being provided and the rules around them.

   Example: "The customer signed the master agreement, then attached a separate service agreement for onboarding work."
