1. Someone overly attached to individual machines or manual care of infrastructure. In engineering slang, server huggers are contrasted with people who prefer automation, replacement, and standardized fleets.

   In plain English: Someone who is too attached to individual servers and manual care.

   Example: "The old team had a server hugger mindset, logging into individual boxes lovingly instead of building the automation that would have made those habits unnecessary."
