Adjusting resources, scope, or architecture to better fit actual needs rather than assumptions. In engineering slang, right-sizing is often the boring but correct move after a period of overshooting or undershooting.
In plain English: Adjusting something to fit the real size of the need more appropriately.
Example: "The platform saved money and reduced noise by right sizing the worker pool to real traffic instead of the inflated numbers everyone had been using in slides."
