Port 80

Definitions

1. The well-known TCP port traditionally used for unencrypted HTTP web traffic. From a security perspective, port 80 is often associated with redirecting users to HTTPS or with risk when sensitive traffic is still served without transport encryption.

   In plain English: The standard network port typically used for regular unencrypted web traffic.

   Example: "The scanner flagged the admin page because it still accepted login traffic on port 80 without forcing HTTPS immediately."
