Policy Compliance

Definitions

1. The state of systems, users, or processes adhering to an organization's defined security policies and standards. Policy compliance is broader than passing an audit because it requires everyday alignment between actual behavior and the documented rules people are expected to follow.

   In plain English: Following an organization's security rules and policies in practice.

   Example: "The device failed policy compliance because disk encryption was disabled even though the user had signed the endpoint policy."
