1. A resigned phrase for problems that somehow appear only in real production conditions and refuse to reproduce elsewhere. In engineering slang, it captures the pain of environment mismatch and hidden scale effects.

   In plain English: A problem that appears only in real production and not in testing environments.

   Example: "The timeout issue was only in production because only production had the exact traffic mix, stale data shape, and cache pressure that triggered the race."
