1. The size or operational scale of a model, whether measured in parameter count, context length, throughput, or production traffic. Model scale shapes infrastructure decisions and can also affect capability and cost.

   In plain English: How large or operationally demanding a model is.

   Example: "The experiment looked cheap in staging, but model scale changed the economics completely once every search query started hitting the system."
