  1. The ability to get disproportionately large results from a given amount of effort, capital, product functionality, or distribution access. In startup discussion, leverage is often the difference between linear work and scalable advantage.

    In plain English: A way to get much bigger results from the same amount of effort or resources.

    Example: "APIs gave the company distribution leverage it could never have hired directly."
