Definitions

1. A server that stores, distributes, or helps manage cryptographic public keys and related trust information. Key servers appear in systems such as PGP ecosystems, enterprise PKI, and centralized key-distribution infrastructures.

   In plain English: A server used to store or distribute cryptographic keys, usually public ones.

   Example: "The build pipeline fetched the signing public keys from the internal key server before verifying packages."
