Definitions

1. A development tool for examining and modifying the structure, styles, and behavior of a running application in real time. Browser DevTools' Element Inspector is the most well-known, but similar tools exist for mobile, desktop, and game engines.

   In plain English: A built-in browser tool that lets you peek under the hood of any webpage, see its HTML and CSS, and change things live to test fixes.

   Example: "Right-click, Inspect Element — the first debugging skill every web developer learns."
