Identity Management

Definitions

1. The administration of identities, credentials, authentication flows, and access relationships across systems and services. Identity management includes provisioning, federation, password policy, MFA, and the infrastructure that supports sign-in and account control.

   In plain English: Managing user and system identities and how they log in and get access.

   Example: "The migration stalled because identity management for partner accounts worked very differently from employee SSO."
