Honeynet

Definitions

1. A network of decoy systems and services designed to attract attackers so defenders can observe their tools, behavior, and objectives in a controlled way. Honeynets are larger and more realistic than a single honeypot and require careful containment to avoid abuse.

   In plain English: A decoy network built to attract attackers and study what they do.

   Example: "The research team deployed a honeynet to study how automated botnets exploited exposed services."
