Definitions

1. The condition of an endpoint meeting required security standards such as patch level, encryption status, agent presence, and configuration policy. Many identity and access systems use endpoint compliance as a gate before allowing access to sensitive services.

   In plain English: Whether a device meets the security requirements needed to be trusted.

   Example: "The laptop failed endpoint compliance because disk encryption had been disabled after a repair."
