1. A cynical phrase for shipping changes to production without strong confidence, testing, or rollback readiness, then hoping nothing breaks. It usually signals weak release discipline.

   In plain English: Releasing software nervously and hoping it does not fail.

   Example: "This release has way too much deploy and pray energy for a payments system."
