Connected Component

Definitions

1. In graph theory, a subset of nodes where each node is reachable from every other node in the same subset. Connected components are useful in clustering, network analysis, dependency visualization, and understanding how a graph breaks apart when links are missing.

   In plain English: A group of graph nodes that are all connected to each other.

   Example: "The diagnostic tool computed connected components to show that one part of the service dependency graph had become isolated from the main application cluster."
