Definitions

1. A command-and-control platform used to manage implants, sessions, and post-exploitation actions across compromised systems. C2 frameworks are used by both real attackers and authorized red teams, which is why detections often focus on behavior rather than simple tool names.

   Example: "The operators used a commercial C2 framework to coordinate lateral movement after the initial foothold."
