Definitions

A person who believes Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency with long-term value and that all altcoins, tokens, and blockchain projects are unnecessary distractions, scams, or inferior imitations. Maximalists argue that network effects, immutability, and fixed supply make Bitcoin the sole legitimate digital store of value.
In plain English: Someone who believes Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that matters and considers all other digital coins worthless or fraudulent.
Example: "Don't mention Ethereum around him — he's a Bitcoin maximalist who refers to everything else as 'shitcoins.'"
