Definitions

1. A resigned acknowledgment that not every outcome will go your way. In engineering slang, it is often used after a tradeoff that helped one metric or team and hurt another.

   In plain English: A way of accepting mixed results where not everything goes your way.

   Example: "The new caching layer improved latency but complicated invalidation, so the lead shrugged and called it win some lose some engineering."
