  1. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines — the international standard for web accessibility published by W3C. Organized around four principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust (POUR). Conformance levels are A (minimum), AA (standard — legally required in many jurisdictions), and AAA (enhanced).

    In plain English: The official international guidelines for making websites accessible to people with disabilities.

    Example: "We need WCAG 2.2 AA compliance for the government contract — that means 4.5:1 color contrast, keyboard navigation, and proper focus management."
