Wallet
Noun · Security & Infosec
Definitions
A software or hardware tool that stores cryptographic private keys and manages digital assets (cryptocurrency, NFTs, digital identity). Does not actually 'hold' coins — it holds the keys that prove ownership on the blockchain.
In plain English: A tool that stores the secret keys you need to access and send your cryptocurrency, like a keychain for your digital money.
Example: "Your coins aren't in the wallet — they're on the blockchain. The wallet just holds the keys to move them."
