Visual Grounding

1. Linking model outputs or language understanding to specific elements in visual input so statements are tied to what is actually present in the image. Visual grounding is important in multimodal systems because it reduces vague or unsupported visual claims.

   In plain English: Tying AI output directly to what is actually visible in an image.

   Example: "The assistant improved after adding visual grounding so it could point to the exact broken UI element in the screenshot."
