1. A lightweight remote expression of congratulations or shared satisfaction. In engineering slang, virtual high fives are the distributed team's version of celebrating small wins in public.

   In plain English: A remote way of celebrating or congratulating someone.

   Example: "After the final migration completed cleanly, the release channel filled with virtual high fives and relieved screenshots of empty error dashboards."
