Seed Extension

Definitions

Additional capital raised after an original seed round, often on similar terms, to extend runway or support extra milestones before a full Series A. It is common when the company needs more time but still believes the stage framing is basically seed.
In plain English: Extra seed-stage funding added after the original seed round.
Example: "They added a seed extension after finding strong early pull but needing more time to operationalize sales."
