Definitions

1. A demonstration exploit built to show that a vulnerability can be triggered or weaponized, often without being fully polished for stealth or large-scale use. Proof-of-concept exploits help defenders validate severity, but once public they can also accelerate opportunistic attacks.

   In plain English: A demonstration exploit that proves a vulnerability can really be used.

   Example: "The vendor advisory became urgent after a proof of concept exploit appeared online and multiple copycat scanners started hitting exposed systems."
