Definitions

1. The examination of user, device, network, or threat profiles to identify unusual behavior, suspicious attributes, or risk patterns. In security, profile analysis is often used in fraud detection, UEBA, threat intelligence, and account abuse investigation.

   In plain English: Studying behavior or attribute profiles to spot suspicious patterns.

   Example: "The fraud engine used profile analysis to flag a new account whose device history, language settings, and payment behavior matched earlier abuse."
