Operator Security

Definitions

1. The protection of administrators, responders, or other operators who have sensitive access, along with the systems and procedures they use. Operator security includes workstation hardening, privileged session controls, safe handling practices, and protections against targeted phishing or coercion.

   In plain English: Security focused on protecting people who operate sensitive systems and the tools they use.

   Example: "They improved operator security by moving privileged admins onto separate hardened laptops with hardware keys and isolated browsers."
