Definitions

1. An AI model whose trained weights are publicly released, allowing anyone to run, fine-tune, or build upon it. Distinct from truly 'open source' because the training code and data may not be shared. Llama, Mistral, and Gemma are open-weight models.

   In plain English: An AI model that anyone can download and use, even though you might not have access to the training recipe — like getting the finished painting but not the artist's full process.
