1. A claim that unexpected behavior is intended or at least not considered a defect by the people making the call. In engineering slang, 'not a bug' may be correct, defensive, or a little infuriating depending on the case.

   In plain English: A claim that the behavior is intended rather than a defect.

   Example: "Support hated the 'not a bug' label on the export issue because users still experienced the behavior as broken, regardless of how product had categorized it internally."
