Definitions

1. Mean Time To Recovery (or Repair). The average elapsed time from when a failure is detected to when the system is fully restored to normal operation.

   In plain English: How long it takes on average to fix something after it breaks. A lower number means your team gets things back online faster.

   Example: "Our MTTR dropped from 45 minutes to 12 after we added automated rollback — the on-call engineer barely has to touch anything now."
