Long-Horizon Planning

1. Planning over many steps or over extended time spans where early decisions affect distant later outcomes. Long-horizon planning is difficult because errors can compound and the system must track goals, state, and contingencies for longer periods.

   In plain English: Planning for tasks that unfold over many steps and require keeping the long-term goal in mind.

   Example: "The research team evaluated long-horizon planning by asking the agent to complete multi-stage software tasks that required remembering earlier constraints."
